Caliber Building recently completed a full outbuilding conversion for our client in Priory Hill, Dover, transforming an old, unused structure into a modern bathroom and utility room.

Structural and Damp Works

The outbuilding had suffered from significant damp issues and required a complete strip-back.

Key works included:

• Re-roofing to address damp and ensure long-term protection.
• Excavation of the floor and installation of proper drainage connections, as there was none previously.
• Full installation of hot and cold water feeds to service the new bathroom and utility room.

Interior Renovation and Finishes

Once the structural and plumbing works were complete, the interior was fully refurbished:

Walls were reboarded and plastered to create a clean, durable finish.

A new bathroom suite was installed, featuring herringbone tiling throughout for a stylish, contemporary look.

A utility room was constructed, including blocking up an old doorway and creating a new opening for improved flow.

The kitchen in the utility room was supplied by Howdens, complete with an undermounted sink and compact laminate worktop.

Victorian-style floor tiles were used throughout to match the character of the existing property.
