Caliber Building recently completed a bespoke media wall installation for a client in Dover, transforming the living space into a stylish, functional entertainment area.

Custom Design and Electrical Works

The media wall was designed and built to the client’s specifications, incorporating:

• Independent lighting circuits, allowing the lights to be controlled separately and remotely.
• Relocation and concealment of all relevant data and power cables for a clean, modern finish.
• Full plastering, painting, and decorative finishes to seamlessly integrate the media wall with the existing décor.

Structural Enhancements

To centralise the media wall in the living room, a load-bearing wall was removed. An RSJ was installed, with all calculations prepared by a structural engineer and work signed off by building control. By managing the structural, electrical, and finishing works ourselves, we ensured the process was stress-free for the client.

Flooring and Finishing Touches

The project also included:

• Installation of solid oak herringbone flooring throughout the living room.
• Relocation and plastering of a doorway to complement the new layout.
• Careful preservation and centralisation of the existing Victorian fireplaces, integrating them with the new media wall.
